Purpose of the Position/ Role Summary:
The QC Analyst responsible for performing finished product analytical testing using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), HPLC, uPLC, UV, FTIR and wet chemistry to ensure compliance with internal quality standards, product specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role supports manufacturing by delivering timely, accurate testing results and contributes to maintaining product quality, safety, and consistency.
This is a Fixed Term Contract for a period of 6 months
Key Role Specific Requirements:
1. Analytical Testing
- Perform routine and nonroutine finished product testing using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), HPLC, uPLC, UV, FTIR and wet chemistry to determine active ingredient content and elemental composition.
- Prepare samples, standards, reagents, and calibration curves following validated test methods.
- Execute testing within required timelines to support batch release and manufacturing schedules.
- Conduct testing in accordance with GMP, SOPs, and validated test methods.
2. Documentation & Data Integrity
- Record all analytical activities in compliance with ALCOA+ principles (Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, Accurate, plus Completeness, Consistency, Enduring, Available).
- Complete QC documentation such as worksheets, forms with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Report any deviations, atypical results, or out of specification findings immediately to QC leadership.
3. Equipment Management
- Set up, operate, and maintain instrumentation, ensuring calibration and performance checks are completed prior to use.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate equipment issues appropriately.
- Participate in equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) as required.
4. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Adhere to GMP, GLP, GDocP, and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., EMA, FDA, VMD depending on site).
- Support internal and external audits by providing clear, accurate documentation.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements, including correct handling of chemicals and laboratory waste
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Manufacturing, R&D, and QA to support production timelines and resolve technical challenges.
- Participate in training and support knowledge transfer to team members where required.

Other Requirements:
Essential
- Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Analytical Science, or related discipline.
- Experience operating Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) or similar instrumental analytical techniques (e.g., ICP‑OES, UV‑Vis, HPLC).
- Strong understanding of GMP, lab safety, and analytical best practices.
Desirable
- Experience with testing solid dose veterinary/pharmaceutical products.
- Previous work in a regulated QC laboratory environment (pharma, veterinary health, or food).
