Department  :  Production

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Technician is responsible to Package and inspect finished product; Setup, run and troubleshoot all packaging machinery; Complete all corresponding documentation. This is a 3rd shift position. Sunday - Thursday 9:00 pm to 5:30 am. Starting pay $20.75 per hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Adhere to all departmental and company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures when initiating and processing of products.
  • Operate and filling and packaging machines.
  • Inspect all products for visual defects to ensure quality and cGMP compliance.
  • Perform and document cleaning of all equipment and packaging areas to assure readiness for the next use.
  • Complete labelling documentation to comply with inventory policies and FDA compliance.
  • Assist in training new personnel.
  • Willingness to cross-train for other duties.
  • Lift and carry 20-25 pounds daily and frequently lift up to 40-50 pounds.
  • Adhere to employee cleanliness, personal hygiene and uniform policy.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and climb ladders occasionally.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 0-2+ years in manufacturing facility experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Attention to detail and have legible handwriting
  • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime
  • Good manual handling experience and hand-eye coordination
  • Communicate in English (verbally and written)

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Experience working in pharma/food industry
  • Forklift experience
  • 1+ year experience in an FDA compliant facility
  • Mechanically skilled
  • Continuous Improvement experience 
  • Strong leadership abilities
