Job Summary
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, The Warehouse Receiver will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and seamless processing and handling of incoming and outgoing products from both internal and external sources. Successful candidate will have to pass the Tow Motor Certification.
Compensation: $29.29/Hour. After completion of probation: $29.81/Hour
Job Duties
- Works in compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety policies. Completes all required GMP documentation in an accurate and timely manner according to procedures. Initials and dates any errors.
- Wears required personal protection and follows company safety rules. Reports any accidents, incidents and injuries or illnesses immediately and notifies Supervisor of any hazards, unsafe acts or conditions in the workplace.
- Prepare receiving dock to accept incoming product
- Oversee the weekly waste disposal process and administration
- Prepare materials for shipment (customer & inter-facility)
- Create the required labels as deemed necessary for inbound items
- Handling & timely receipt of production materials
- Match incoming and outgoing product with purchase orders
- Verify product expiration codes
- Inspect product to ensure saleable condition with acceptable code dating
- Operate a Forklift or Electric Pallet Jack in a safe manner to move received product
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Will be required to manage the scheduling of inbound freight appointment requests
- Must be able lift cases, small drums or plastic jugs of product and /or stock merchandise according to documented procedures
- Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for receipt, reporting and tracking
- Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries (large & small)
- Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments
- Manage inventory of inbound materials and supplies
- Manage and take ownership of the Receiving dock and surrounding areas
- Sort and distribute incoming shipments (carrier & courier)
- Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off
- Support the Cycle Count activity and recounts as deemed necessary
- Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation and if there are multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete
- Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, PO#’s, weights or measures for all inbound material or product – involved with large shipments or small package deliveries
- Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean work environment and perform sanitation duties as required
- Other duties as assigned
Technical/Physical & Behavioral Abilities
- 1 – 3 years experiences, preferably in a GMP pharmaceutical packaging & manufacturing facility
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification
- Working experience in a Shipping / and / or / Receiving function is preferred
- High School Diploma required
- Excellent math skills.
- Good command of the English language, verbal, reading and writing
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong hand-eye coordination.
- Able to lift and move up to 10lbs and occasionally up to 30lbs, visual acuity; good manual dexterity; some repetitive movements.
- High integrity, flexibility in working overtime, responsible, reliable, with good attention to details, good problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively independently and part of a team
- Computer literacy, including working skills of Outlook Calendar and e-mail
- Possess a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Successful candidate will have to pass the Tow Motor Certification.
