Purpose of the Position/ Role Summary:

Sales representative for Bimeda Ireland in designated territory with responsibility for meeting pre agreed goals, targets, and objectives within the territory to include: Sales target, Product target, Cash collection target, Key account Management, Development of new business, sales of new products, attendance at shows and events representing Bimeda and CRM compliance. The territory is the North East of Ireland to include the Midlands and North Leinster. This role is a remote role. 


Key Role Specific Requirements:

·       Physical calls to existing customer base (vets, Merchant, Co Op, Pharmacy, wholesaler) detailing Bimeda product range, generation of orders, and sales of new products on a monthly basis with adherence to a call cycle program.

·       Ensure Key Accounts within the territory are called on monthly, updates given on sales v target, and ensure sales are on track. Engage with this account to ensure quarterly campaigns are outlined and offer the support of internal Bimeda services such as Marketing, Technical and sales out support.

·       Introduce, detail, and sell new products as they arrive to your client base (existing and new). This may involve making technical presentations to accounts and their staff or to end users(farmers) to support the sales.

·       Attend Shows and company events to develop and grow sales in your territory and increase awareness of Bimeda product range.

·       Ensure sales and rebate targets are met by key accounts.

·       Manage any complaints in your territory professionally and document/report and close out timely. This includes PV issues in your territory and may warrant on farm investigation for information gathering for corrective action and compliance.

·       CRM compliance daily/weekly with regular updates provided to include market intelligence and competitor activity.

·       Build annual business plan for territory to assist and ensure sales goals and targets are met for the business unit. This needs to be reviewed, adapted as necessary each quarter to ensure adherence to the plan.

·       Submit details of sales, market and competitor information, and client activity in your area on a weekly basis

·       Encourage adoption and usage with customers of E Commerce facility & sign up of Nett Save members, along with E-Learning platform.

·       Identify and resolve client concerns, resolve queries, and provide sound advice.

·       Develop ways of offering increased value and service to all clients to further build the company reputation and brand.

·       Plan and review territory activity using modern analytical techniques with the aim to improve sales & margin.

·       Maintain an exceptional knowledge of the BAHL product range.

·       Update company systems as required: CRM weekly, Workvivo, and Bamboo as needed.

·       Assist in the operation of a well-maintained credit control system in your territory.

·       Develop ways of offering increased value and service to all clients to further build the company reputation and brand.

·       Establish and maintain relationships with key accounts and new potential customers.

·       Make presentations to all account types, and customer types (retail, educational, end user) as needed to promote best practice and drive awareness of Bimeda branded products in your territory. This will be using Power point or other presentation means for on farm, in store or on-line activities.

·       Plan, arrange and set up technical and educational events in your territory to a defined number of customers and product types using the support of technical and marketing functions within the business.

·       Support and carry out ad hoc specific tasks as requested by the company or your line manager that supports the business

Other Requirements:

Essential:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science/nursing, or agricultural qualification
  • Experience in selling and developing business relationships in the Irish Veterinary/Animal Health sector.
  • Good computer skills with experience of using excel, Power Point, CRM, and data bases for analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
  • Strong communication skills
  • The flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Good organisation skills, strong self-motivation, initiative, and self-starter, with great work ethic
  • Current clean drivers’ licence

 

Desirable:

  • Responsible Persons Course completion
  • Live within the territory
  • Agricultural background and experience with working with large animals.
  • Experience of animal nutrition and modern farming methods
