Role Summary

The Director, E‑Commerce Business Unit leads strategy, execution, and performance across Bimeda’s e‑commerce and retail channels driving top‑line sales, profit, and long‑term sustainable growth. They design and execute a transformative commercial strategy across distribution, category management, promotions and customer marketing, while building a progressive retail‑focused model for Ag Retail, mass market, eCommerce and emerging channels. This role is Remote w/Travel


The role oversees sales strategy, product marketing, policies and procedures, strategic and organizational planning and team development. It requires deep understanding of prescription medication workflows between retailers and veterinarians and the ability to reduce friction in this process.

The Director presents category strategies to senior leadership, guides resource allocation and partners with a specialist retail distributor to build efficient operations and strong retail customer networks. They provide strategic direction to meet annual revenue and profit targets, manage budgets, identify growth and cost‑reduction opportunities, drive cross‑functional planning and coach and mentor team members.


Key Role Specific Requirements

  • Provide long‑term strategic direction and set annual sales and profit targets aligned with Bimeda’s goals
  • Own the retail business unit’s sales, marketing, and expense budgets and manage all budget line items
  • Partner with KAMs and Marketing to create integrated, long‑term product marketing plans
  • Lead issue resolution with distributors and support execution of the Omni‑Channel strategy
  • Direct sales activities to achieve targets and manage conflict related to new Omni‑Channel initiatives
  • Coach, motivate, and develop team members
  • Translate marketing and customer strategies into actionable plans and execute campaigns across retail platforms
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and collaborate with Demand Planning on product needs
  • Share U.S. market insights with global Bimeda teams to support alignment

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in U.S. Animal Health sales.
  • At least five (5) years of successful sales management experience, leading teams and driving commercial results.
  • Five-plus (5+) years of experience working with customers, brokers, distributors, wholesalers, and agencies within the Omni-Channel market space.
  • Demonstrated digital sales and marketing expertise with a strong understanding of Omni-Channel strategies.
  • Industry experience collaborating with Bimeda’s existing distributors, particularly those with established retail strategies.
  • Established customer relationships or prior experience working with key partners, including:
  • Omni-Channel: Amazon, Chewy, Walmart, Alivet, and other major Omni-Channel players
  • Retail: Tractor Supply and farm-and-fleet organizations
  • Catalog Companies: Valley Vet, Jeffers, RJ Matthews
  • Mass/Big Box: Walmart, Target, Petco, PetSmart
