Purpose of the Role

This role sits at the early stage of Bimeda’s entry into Australia, offering the opportunity to build finance foundations from first principles within a globally backed platform.

The Financial Controller (ANZ) will build, lead, and embed a robust finance and control environment for Bimeda Australia and New Zealand, supporting the establishment and scale-up of Bimeda’s Australia and New Zealand platform, including the initial build-out of the Group’s presence in the Australian market and the integration of acquired activities. The role will own month-end close, statutory and tax compliance, financial reporting, and working capital discipline, while partnering with the BAU General Manager and functional leaders to drive profitable growth and strong decision-making.

Operating in a fast-moving market-entry and build-phase environment, the role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented finance leader with strong technical accounting, high integrity, and the ability to implement practical processes and controls without slowing execution. Success will be measured through timely, accurate reporting; clean audits; strong cash and working capital outcomes; effective governance; and the development of a scalable finance operating model across ANZ.

About Bimeda

Bimeda is a privately owned, Irish-headquartered global animal health company, with operations across Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

Headquartered in Dublin, Bimeda develops, manufactures, and markets a broad portfolio of veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal health products for livestock, equine, and companion animals. The Group operates a fully integrated platform, including multiple manufacturing sites, R&D centres, and regulatory laboratories, supplying products to over 80 countries worldwide.

Bimeda has built a strong reputation for combining entrepreneurial agility with disciplined operational execution, and continues to invest in high-growth markets through targeted acquisitions, local manufacturing capability, and expansion of its product portfolio.

The establishment of Bimeda Australia represents a key strategic priority for the Group, creating a fully integrated commercial and manufacturing platform in one of the world’s most important livestock markets.

Bimeda’s entry into Australia represents a foundational market expansion, moving from a distributor-led model to a direct, fully integrated commercial and manufacturing presence. This creates a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and play a central role in building a long-term platform in the region.

Systems, Process Improvement & Integration

    • Own finance process design and continuous improvement, driving efficiency, accuracy, and control as the ANZ platform scales.
    • Maintain and improve the integrity of master data (customers, suppliers, pricing, chart of accounts) and ensure clean transaction processing in the ERP environment.
    • Support the integration of acquired businesses, products, and processes into Bimeda’s finance operating model, including controls, reporting, and working capital transition.
    • Champion adoption of finance tools and reporting automation to improve visibility and decision support (advanced Excel modelling, BI dashboards where available)

Team Leadership & Service Provider Management

    • Lead, coach, and develop the local finance team (including the Finance Associate and accounts/administration support where applicable), embedding clear expectations and accountability.
