Purpose of the Position/ Role Summary

We are offering an exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly growing global pharmaceutical organisation within the animal health sector. As a PHD Graduate Data Scientist, you will join the Bimeda IT Global Data & Analytics team, contributing to impactful, data-driven and AI-driven initiatives across the business.

This 24-month program is designed to accelerate your development by giving you hands-on experience with real-world data and artificial intelligence challenges, exposure to global stakeholders, and the opportunity to deliver meaningful insights and intelligent solutions that support innovation and operational excellence.

Role Title: PHD Graduate - Data Scientist

Reporting to: Head of Data Analytics

Duration of Post: Fixed Term – 24 Months

Contract Type: Full-time

Salary: €62,000.00

Location: 21 Spruce Avenue, Stillorgan Industrial Park

Key Role Specific Requirements

• Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
• Develop and deploy predictive models, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions
• Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of AI initiatives across the global Bimeda organisation (e.g., automation, advanced analytics, generative AI use cases)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science and AI solutions
• Support the development of data pipelines, AI models, dashboards, and reporting tools
• Assist in evaluating and implementing emerging AI technologies and best practices
• Contribute to data governance, model governance, and responsible AI practices
• Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Continuously explore new tools, techniques, and methodologies in data science and artificial intelligence

About You

• PHD graduate with a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Basic understanding of machine learning and AI concepts (e.g., NLP, predictive modelling)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Experience with large datasets and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Knowledge of SQL and database management
• Familiarity with generative AI tools or concepts (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering)
• Exposure to version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Interest in the pharmaceutical or animal health industry
