The Director, Omni-Channel Business Unit will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of sales strategies for all brands and customers within Bimeda's Omni-Channel, retail, and mass market channels. This role is responsible for defining and executing a transformative retail and digital commerce strategy across Omni-Channel, retail, mass market, and emerging alternative channels.
The Director will develop a highly progressive retail customer-focused business model for Omni-Channel, Retail, and mass market, and other alternative channels as needed. They will oversee the development of sales strategies, marketing strategies, policies, procedures, strategic planning, and organizational development. This position requires an in-depth understanding of animal health product workflows between distributors, retailers and veterinarians and the ability to develop strategies to reduce potential friction between them.
The Director will provide vision and long-term strategic direction to achieve annual sales and profit targets, develop yearly retail sales and profit targets that align with Bimeda's goals, and manage all line items within the respective budgets. They will direct and manage sales activities to ensure expected targets are achieved, and coach, develop, motivate, and mentor colleagues. They will also consult on relevant forecasting activities to ensure timely communication of product requirements to Demand Planning and improve forecast accuracy.
This position will oversee and lead the development, implementation and monitoring of sales strategies for all brands/customers for Bimeda retail channels and will have the responsibility of leading the Operational success of the business, measured in top line sales and profit. This role will be responsible for building commercial strategy that transforms the current approach inclusive of distribution, category management and promotional activities and customer marketing.
Key Role Specific Requirements
- Provides vision and long-term strategic direction to achieve annual sales and profit targets
- Develops yearly retail sales and profit targets that cascade from the Bimeda targets.
- Responsible for annual sales, marketing, and expense budgets for the retail business unit.
- Manages all line items within the respective budgets
- Works Cross-functionally with the Bimeda KAMs and Marketing department to develop integrated and aligned long-term product marketing plans
- Provides leadership in solving day-to-day issues that will occur with current Bimeda distributors and Bimeda Omni-Channel strategy
- Directs and manages Sales on activities to assure expected targets/outcomes are achieved
- Managing objections and conflicts(internal and external) that will arise from implementing a new Omni-Channel team and strategy for Bimeda
- Coaches, develops, motivates, and mentors colleagues
- Leverages marketing objectives, consumer promotions and customer strategies to deliver actionable tactics to drive annual planning
- Executes marketing campaigns across retail platforms with all retail partners
- Financially sound and predictable forecast ability
- Consults on relevant forecasting activities to assure timely communication of product requirements to Demand Planning; forecast accuracy is met or improved
- Interfaces with Bimeda globally to ensure learnings in the US are communicated to other Bimeda countries

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Essential:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) required
- Minimum ten (10) years of work experience in U.S. Animal Health sales
- Five-plus (5+) years of successful sales management experience
- Five-plus (5+) years of experience with customers, brokers, distributors, wholesalers, agencies, in the Omni-Channel market space.
- Digital sales and marketing knowledge in Omni-Channel space
- Industry experience working with current Bimeda Distributors who have retail strategies
- Established customer relationships or experience in working with the following customers:
- Omni-Channel - Amazon, Chewy, Walmart, Alivet, other Omni-Channel players
- Retailers – Tractor Supply, farm and fleet organizations
- Catalog Companies – Valley Vet, Jeffers, RJ Matthews
