Job Summary

The Stock Controller will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and seamless processing and handling of incoming and outgoing products from both internal and external sources, fulfilling all warehouse functions performed within the warehouse. This role requires computer skills, with specific operations/transactions to be performed in QAD (Bimeda’s ERP Software system), as well as occasional use of MS Office applications such as MS Word and MS Excel, as it pertains to necessary warehouse paperwork and administration.


Shift: Day Shift (Monday - Friday) 7:00am - 3:30pm.


Compensation: $29.29/Hour. After completion of probation: $29.81/Hour

 

Job Duties

    • Load daily transfer components and place all items into TRANSITB.
    • Unload returns from Beaverdale and accurately locates items in QAD.
    • Schedule and coordinate all inbound appointments.
    • Receive inbound components and process receivers in QAD, including glass, printed components, shippers, caps, raw materials, and more.
    • Apply all required labels to components, including Quarantine and Release labels.
    • Coordinate pallet deliveries between Boxsys and Dispatch for both clean and dirty plastic pallets.
    • Request wood skids and gaylords as needed to support production and warehouse operations.
    • Monitor the temperature control display weekly; replace paper and ribbon when required.
    • Manage recycling by taking blue bins out and sending garbage to Beaverdale when necessary.
    • Perform cycle counts and contribute to maintaining accurate inventory levels.
    • Gather, wrap, weigh, stage, and complete all DM transactions in Zen.
    • Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and document weekly and monthly cleaning tasks in the logbook.
    • Complete daily tow motor inspections and record findings in the logbook.
    • Respond to emails promptly and professionally.
    • Provide general assistance throughout the warehouse as needed.
    • Arm and secure the warehouse at the end of each shift.
    • Support waste control efforts and collaborate with Waste Management partners.
    • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
    • Any other duties as assigned. 


    Technical/Physical & Behavioural Abilities

    • High school diploma or GED. 
    • Tow Motor Certification required.
    • TDG Certification required.
    • Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift.  
    • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification an asset. 
    • Experience in QAD or Bimeda proprietary systems an asset.  
    • Experience in the Health Care or Warehouse Industry preferred. 
    • Working experience in a Shipping / and / or / Receiving function preferred. 
    • Customer focused and quality oriented. 
    • Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting. 
    • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.   
    • Basic mathematical skills required; Ability to weigh and measure items. 
    • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team and independently. 
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (word/excel). 
    • Sense of urgency. 
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Good organizational and time management skills and the ability to work under stress and time constraints. 
    • Strong work ethic, integrity and positive team attitude. 
    • Must have a valid driver’s licence and vehicle to travel back and forth from our Pinebush Warehouse.
    • Flexible to work overtime as required. 

    Working Conditions 

    • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals. 
    • Repetitive heavy lifting; lifting or moving up to 50 lbs may be required. 
    • Work is performed in a combination of environments. 
    • This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes, seasonal temperature fluctuation and oils.
